An original watercolour painting of a country lane in Hastings by the artist, Max Brimmer. This impressionistic landscape painting is a very appealing piece at an affordable price.
Hastings is a town and borough in East Sussex on the south coast of England, 53 miles (85 km) south east of London. It is perhaps most famous for giving its name to the Battle of Hastings in 1066 where the Norman-French and the English armies fought, resulting in the Norman conquest of England. It actually took place approximately 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Hastings, close to the present-day town of Battle, East Sussex.
