Original Still Life Art
Still life painting is a popular subject for the artist. It is often used for training or experimental purposes, giving the artist an arrangement of different colours and textures to test their skills in handling paint and technical composition.
You will therefore find a range of objects represented in a still life: ceramic jugs, copper kettles, glass, flowers of all sizes and colours, fruits, baskets, birds and animals. Some of the most famous examples of still life paintings are the vibrant fruits and jugs of the Post-Impressionist painter, Paul Cezanne, and the geometric guitars and strange cubist compositions of Picasso and Georges Braques.
Our collection includes a number of still life paintings that showcase the artists' talents for juxtaposing and painting textures and arranging colours.
