Naïve art is the title given to any art that appears to have been created by someone without artistic training. It is a genre in itself and became increasingly popular in the late-twentieth century. One of the most famous artists painting in the naïve style was Henri Rousseau. He was a self taught French artist of the nineteenth century whose works are very recognisable for their jungle subjects and flat, childish style.
